us police, minor
if cops are going to bike illegally all the time here they really ought to have little sirens and lights for their heads
just got reminded of my favourite Cisco Field Notice where using certain snagless ethernet cables would reset certain switches because the protective boot would press down on a button that will do exactly that

I appreciate how this game makes me think more about when to build and dismantle temporary infrastructure in the early game. It's frustrating to approach it if you are trying to incrementally build the one perfect factory, but it's satisfying to play it as a process of maintaining and changing infrastructure as your needs change.

I put Satisfactory down for about a year and a half but they released a new experimental update recently and I took that as an excuse to start a new file, and it's been really nice. They've really rebalanced the early game a lot, and exploration is more fun. Also it's much more enjoyable when approached like a 3d first person board game than some kind of actual simulation.

I'm frustrated by how fragile usb-c ports are compared to old-school type A, but I do appreciate that the socket is on a separate board relatively far from things that can be damaged by the misdirected watts

the original culprit was either liquid damage or damage from an already overheated peripheral. I've tried to clean the socket and it's worked again for a while, but just recently the problem came back and instead of just not turning on, it does the heating. so, taped over the port and ordered a replacement board.
